DR. AHMAD FATFAT'S MEDICAL CAREER
1996 to the present Time:
Holding a Ph.D in internal and Digestive Diseases, from Université Catholique de Louvain, Dr. A. Fatfat is still carrying on his professional career as a specialized doctor in two hospitals, in Tripoli: The Mazloum Hospital, and the Islamic Charitable Hospital.
1986- He started medical practice in Lebanon, providing medical assistance to people and families regardless of their financial situations in addition to running many dispensaries as responsible.
1982-When enrolled in the first year of his specialist study; he came to Lebanon with some members of OXFAM from Belgium- a Non-Governmental Organization, to the Bekaa valley to provide displaced persons with medical assistance and financial support.
Principles of Medical Practice:
- Medical services must be provided for all, without regard to the financial situation of the sick and needy and their ability to pay.
- The profession of medical doctor should never be a means for political advancement or undue enrichment.
- Priority should be given to :
- A general health policy in Lebanon.
- A framework for regulating the health sector.
- A health card system for all Lebanese.
